So I won a bottle of the new Mandarin and Basil shower gel on the Original Source Facebook Page and thought why not review it!
This particular shower gel is not actually available to buy just yet, so it's made me feel pretty special already :P
Now I absolutely love the sound of this since I adore citrus scented shower gels. Nice and refreshing in the morning! Also, anyone who knows me well, knows I have a slight obsession with anything basil (Basil strawberries? Nom!!)
First off, the colour is amazing! Gorgeous, almost fluorescent orange. Would of been cool to have had some sort of green flecks in there too in my opinion :)
The smell is lovely. You can definitely smell the basil! Although the mandarin scent seems to me to take a bit of a back seat here. The scent is quite familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it!!
It lathers up nicely and fills the room with a lovely refreshing smell. The citrus really is invigorating, exactly what I need first thing in the morning after a sleepless night with the little guy!
The only thing I would like to change is that as soon as you've rinsed yourself, the lovely smell is gone from your skin, I like shower gels to leave a subtle perfume behind, but that's just down to personal preference.
Overall I Think this is a great product and will definitely be buying it if it becomes available in the shops!
